In the words of Parks and Recreation’s Tom Haverford, Treat Yo Self.
It’s nice to break up the routine just because or to celebrate important milestones in life, and when you do, you want to go out to eat to someplace a little nicer than the usual grab and go lunch during your work week. We’ve done the footwork for you, and scoured reviews for the best fine dining in town.
Featured in Bethesda Magazine’s Best of Bethesda, Il Pizzico is one of the fine dining hidden gems of Rockville. That’s right, the strip mall restaurant you’ve probably passed 1,000 times serves up Italian that is worth the extra dough (no pun intended).
According to the restaurant’s website, the name Il Pizzico literally means “The Pinch”. It describes the culinary belief of proprietor Enzo Livia. To serve Italian food a wise chef must begin with authentic recipes and then add the right pinch of herbs and spices to give his personal touch to the dish.
The menu features a varied selection of seafood, meats and a vast selection of homemade pastas. Most desserts are homemade as well. The mainly italian wine list offers wines from different regions. Appetizers range from $7.99 to $12.95 and main courses range from $16.95 to $28.95.
If you are going to splurge a little, with cash and carbs, this one is worth it. Trust us.
