La Brasa Latin Cuisine brings an eclectic mix of Latin comfort food to Rockville. Its chef highlights everything from Peruvian classics to Mexican fare, embracing any recipe that tastes like it could have been cooked in a kitchen in one of these countries. Although all of the dishes are authentic and artfully prepared, a couple of them do stand out.
The carne asada entree is far and away the customer favorite—more than 70 Yelp reviewers sing its praises. The simple dish consists of marinated steak, seared to perfectly tender and paired with jasmine rice and pico de gallo. The lomo saltado is a close second in terms of popularity. It's another steak-centric dish, but featuring strips of prime sirloin cooked with fresh onions, tomatoes, and cilantro plus a unique Peruvian sauce. It comes over fries and jasmine rice. In addition to these signature bites, you can also dig into tacos, enchiladas, or burritos at La Brasa.
