From a movie theater and music venue to a tapas restaurant and Cuban eatery, Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring boasts ample opportunities for a fun night out. But this time of year, there’s one attraction that tends to outshine the others: Silver Spring Ice Skating at Veterans Plaza.
The seasonal ice-skating rink sets up shop at the plaza every winter, welcoming the community to get some exercise and fresh air even in the chillier months. The rink opens its doors every weekday at noon and at 10 a.m. on the weekends, and it stays open until at least 10 p.m. That should give you plenty of time to do some skating, grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant, and maybe even catch a show or a movie. Admission is $9 and rental skates are $5.
